“A painting is a certain energetic cluster. It spreads something that may be called a part of the spirit of the author”
Tautvydas Davainis, a.k.a Tauta, was born in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania in 1954. His works of art are often composed of an abundance of colours and unexpected combinations thereof by the impression of effects obtained from experimental techniques. His paintings are percolated with expressiveness, most of them can be even called shocking. Nearly each of them hides a challenge for traditional thinking.
One of more interesting directions of the creative work of Tauta is paintings made by composite technique and special technology. From the first sight it is abstract but after change of focus of sight one more hidden three-dimensional view emerges. These may be objects or formed spaces.
He currently lives and works in his hometown.
